How Much Does A Website Cost In Malaysia?
Most agencies answer this with “it depends” and a contact form. Here are real numbers instead — the published market ranges, what we actually charge, and the ongoing costs that rarely appear in a quote.
The short answer
In Malaysia in 2026, a one-page website typically costs RM 500 – 3,000, a small business site RM 2,500 – 8,000, and a corporate site RM 8,000 – 30,000. Our own pricing starts at RM 800 for a landing page and RM 1,500 for a five-page site.
What Malaysian Agencies Publish
Consolidated from prices published by Malaysian providers and checked in September 2026. These are ranges, not averages — nobody has reliable average data, and any single figure presented as “the average” is invented.
| Type of site | Published range |
|---|---|
| One-page / landing page | RM 500 – 3,000 |
| Small business site (5–10 pages) | RM 2,500 – 8,000 |
| Corporate site (10–15 pages) | RM 8,000 – 30,000 |
| E-commerce | RM 5,000 – 50,000+ |

What Actually Moves The Price
How many pages you need
The single biggest factor. A one-page site and a twelve-page site are not the same job, and page count is the easiest thing to agree upfront.
Whether your content is ready
If your photos, service list and text are ready to hand over, the build is fast. If someone has to write the copy and source the images, that is a separate piece of work and should be quoted separately rather than absorbed quietly.
What the site has to do
Collecting enquiries is straightforward. Taking bookings, processing payments, or syncing with a system you already use are each a different level of work.
Template or built from scratch
A template is quicker and cheaper up front. A custom build costs more in hours but is not shared with hundreds of other businesses, and is not tied to a platform subscription.
The Costs Nobody Quotes
A build price is not the whole cost of owning a website. These are the recurring items, at the rates Malaysian providers publish.
| Domain (.com / .com.my) | RM 60 – 150 / year |
| Hosting | RM 200 – 2,900 / year |
| SSL certificate | RM 0 – 330 / year |
| Maintenance / care plan | RM 100 – 1,500 / month |
Our builds deploy to Vercel with SSL included, and you own the domain and code outright. Our Care Plan starts at RM 500 a month if you want it handled — but it is optional, and nothing stops you managing the site yourself.
Common Questions
How much does a website cost in Malaysia in 2026?
Published prices from Malaysian providers in 2026 put a one-page site at roughly RM 500–3,000, a small business site at RM 2,500–8,000, and a corporate site at RM 8,000–30,000. Our own pricing starts at RM 800 for a landing page and RM 1,500 for a five-page site.
Why do quotes vary so much for the same thing?
Because 'a website' describes work ranging from a one-page template to a bespoke system. The honest answer to what yours costs depends on page count, whether your content is ready, and whether you need bookings or payments. Anyone giving a final number before asking those three things is guessing.
What ongoing costs should I expect after launch?
A domain is roughly RM 60–150 a year and hosting RM 200–2,900 a year depending on the provider. Maintenance is optional and typically RM 100–1,500 a month. Our sites are deployed on Vercel with SSL included, and our Care Plan starts at RM 500 a month — but you are free to manage it yourself, since you own everything.
Is a cheap website a bad website?
Not necessarily, but ask what makes it cheap. A low price usually means either a template, a very small scope, or work done offshore at volume. None of those are wrong — they are just different products. The thing to avoid is not knowing which one you are buying.
Do I own the website, or am I renting it?
With us, you own it fully — code, domain and content, with no lock-in and no recurring licence fee for the build. This is worth checking with any provider, because some website-builder arrangements mean the site stops existing when you stop paying.
How long does a website take to build in Malaysia?
Most of our sites go live in 3–7 days once content is supplied. Larger custom builds take two to four weeks. Across the market, timelines from one to ten weeks are commonly quoted depending on scope.
